1 Site of Prince of Wales public house, 17 & 18 Rother street, Stratford upon Avon Historic public house recorded on F White & Co.'s database which shows it in existence in 1874. Situated on the west side of Rother street, close to the junction with Greenhill street, Windsor street and the joining of Meer street and Wood street. Listed building record (DWA3732) gives this property as York house and states it was formerly known as York house hotel but there is no date for this; the building is given as C17. Recorded as a public house on 1st edition OS map.
