'Smithy' marked.
Quite dilapidated and used as stores.
No longer appears to be listed.
The blacksmith's workshop has been examined in advance of proposed alterations during June 2014. This is a later 18th or early 19th century building of brick and slate. There were two chimneys at either gable end of the building with a separate area for the shoeing of animals. This building has been re-roofed in the later 20th century building which may have led to the loss of one of the original chimneys. This has lately been in use as a garage. Much of the open hearth and smoke hood arrangements appear to survive within the building. These appear to be largely constructed of brick.
In 2017 the building was recorded prior to renovations. The brick building has a tiles roof and multipaned windows. The internal images showed that there are no surviving internal fixtures.
