Source Number  

1 A small canal basin served by a tramway is shown here on the 1st edition 25" OS. The tramway would presumably have brought coal from Dordon mines. Just north of this basin and on the opposite bank a 'lengthsman cottage and (much altered) canal stabling' can be seen.
2 The buildings comprise a 19th century cottage with a modern extension; and a small stable block, now used as a store. The nearby basin has modern housing adjacent which appears to have altered the shape of the basin.

This period comes after the Post Medieval period and before the modern period and starts with beginning of the Industrial Revolution in 1750. It includes the second part of the Hannoverian period (1714 – 1836) and the Victorian period (1837 – 1901). The Imperial period ends with the start of the First World War in 1914.
