Source Number  

1 Evidence for a pottery kiln includes a slip ware dish decorated with 'Polesworth RG 1801' and the road called 'Potters Lane'. Investigations in the back gardens of houses along this road produced a kiln bob or pot spacer. More recently pottery waste has been found in a building foundation. Finds are typical of the 18th century and include blackwares, slipwares, yellow wares and 'saggers'.
