Summary The site of a post mill, a type of windmill mounted on a post. It was in use in the Imperial period, but was demolished in 1916 so that the area could be used for quarrying. Its location was 500m south west of Edgehill Tower.

Source Number  

1 Post Mill. Built probably early 19th century. Open trestle, four common sails, metal sheeted breast and roof, ladder and tailpole set on cart wheels. Ceased working by 1890's. Demolished 1916 for quarry.
