Summary The site of brickworks where bricks were made during the Imperial period. They were marked on the Ordnance Survey map of 1886, and were located north of Terry Avenue, Leamington Spa.

1 Brickworks marked on 1886 map.

3 The OS 1st edition shows kilns, a pump and some buildings and what looks like clay pits. The OS 2nd edition shows the works with more buildings, a tank marked and a small expansion to the north. An OS map of 1953 shows them still marked with a chimney but on the southern part new houses have been built (along the south side of what is now Terry Avenue) and the works may have been declining by then.

This period comes after the Post Medieval period and before the modern period and starts with beginning of the Industrial Revolution in 1750.
