1 Allotments of half an acre created by the mother of Dr Pusey (Oxford Movement churchman); he drew up rules. Recommended for inclusion on Local List.
2 Similar schemes originated at the time of enclosure as a kind of poor land. Dr Pusey's regulations were regarded as a model for other Allotment schemes. Allotments no longer obvious.
3 The OS 1:10560 1928 Sht Warks 52SW shows Allotments, into which quarries are eating, south west of Ratley.
4 But the OS 1:10560 1886 Sht Warks 52SW does not mark Allotments at the above location.
